First responders stepped into the ring Friday in Yaphank to help one of their own.

They organized an amateur fight night to raise money for 53-year-old Ralph Felice who is battling cancer.

Felice works for the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office as a corrections officer in Riverhead.

He has been out of work for over two years so his fellow officers put on boxing gloves to their support.

Their goal was to raise $25,000, but they wound up raising $30,000.
