First World Cup match at New York New Jersey Stadium ends in a draw, but brings fans together

While today’s match at New York New Jersey Stadium ended in a draw between Brazil and Morocco, crowds left the stadium with nothing but praise.

“It was fantastic—everybody was singing the same things. Even people who didn’t speak Portuguese were singing along,” a Brazil fan said. “It was amazing.”

Fans who came out to support Morocco shared a similar sentiment.

“It was our first World Cup match ever, and it was a really great game—Morocco and Brazil,” a Moroccan fan said. “It was really friendly. We were with a lot of Brazilians!”

The next match at New York New Jersey Stadium is between France and Senegal at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
