A vandal was caught on camera using a brick to try and break into a car in Flatbush over the weekend.
Keith Christopher says he feels disturbed over the incident that unfolded while he was watching TV in his East 23rd Street home when a young man apparently approached his car.
Christopher says the man looked into his car, looked around and used a brick to toss into the back window. He says the alarm didn't go off in his vehicle, but the suspect ran down the street.
But that didn't stop him -- the surveillance video shows the suspect return to the the car. Christopher says he put his hand through the glass and tried to open the door.
The alarm eventually went off in his vehicle. News 12 is told the man didn't get away with any valuables. Christopher filed a police report and was able to watch the entire incident unfold on his surveillance cameras.
He was even able to retrieve the apparent brick that the suspect used. He returned to the 70th Precinct with the evidence.
"Low and behold, the police tell me they closed the case on Saturday, the same day it seems, but I'm going to try to pursue it," says Christopher.
The Flatbush resident wants to catch the culprit and prevent more car break-ins which he says are rare in his community.
