Friday's storm caused even more flooding to communities in Ocean County that were already dealing with the aftermath of last week's storm.
Cars, houses and businesses in Bay Head were partially underwater throughout Saturday. It was not until the evening that the flood waters receded to a few inches above the road on Bridge Avenue.
Some streets also reopened in the evening in coastal communities in the Barnegat Bay area from Bay Head to Seaside Heights. Residents were bracing for yet another storm next week.
"Normally we get the snow and I guess because the temperatures have been so warm, with the ocean being much warmer, now it's just rain," said Michelle Viggos, of Bay Head.
Residents told News 12 they're used to seeing weather events like the recent storm but added that the township does a pretty good job of cleaning up.
