DeSantis did not mention former President Donald Trump by name, but he did have some choice words for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
Hundreds of people from all over the tri-state area lined up to see DeSantis.
A caravan of Trump supporters was also at the event to ensure that their voices were heard.
Former gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin and other local elected officials introduced DeSantis.
DeSantis spoke about his success in his state, the "Florida blueprint," as he calls it, and what aspects would work not just here in New York but nationwide.

A few in the crowd even chanted "Run, Ron, run."
New York State Democratic Party Chairman Jay Jacobs released a statement ahead of the event that reads in part, "Ron DeSantis is coming to Nassau County to pitch his dangerous Florida blueprint, but New Yorkers won't be fooled."
