Children from District 11 and Eastchester Heights spent Saturday afternoon searching for Easter eggs.
It's was all a part of the first ever community Easter egg hunt in Eastchester Heights organized by a local organization.
The event included a raffle and food, and even an Easter bonnet decorating contest. Some of the eggs were filled cash prizes of $50 to $100.
Attendees made sure to stay safe by wearing masks.
District 11 education leaders came to show support and there was even a special guest appearance from the Easter Bunny himself.
Community members said that events like this one are especially needed after a challenging year under COVID-19.
Organizers added that they want the Easter egg hunt to be a new tradition in the community.
