Bronx bragging rights were on the line when the Fordham University and Manhattan College softball teams competed in a doubleheader Tuesday.
Manhattan Lady Jasper Kerry Cook drove in Amanda Genovese for an RBI to put the team up 1-0 in the second inning. In the third inning, teammate Candice Sheridan hit a home run, putting the Jaspers up 2-0. However, Fordham wouldn't go quietly. With a runner on third base, Lady Ram Krystle Henry hit the ball to the shortstop and Allison Twarowski beat the throw home. Fordham pulled off a 6-3 victory.
In game two, the Lady Rams' Megan Waldron went 2-3 with an RBI. Fordham swept the doubleheader with a 3-1 win in the second match.
