A former correction officer at Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn could face jail time after pleading guilty to smuggling items to inmates, officials say.
Prosecutors say Quan-Delle Joseph was accused of smuggling marijuana and cell phones to inmates. They also say he took tens of thousands of dollars from inmates while working at the facility in exchange for bringing in the contraband.
Joseph faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced.
