Four men were questioned Tuesday in connection the alleged bias attack of a gay man on the Belt Parkway.
Police say the men met 28-year-old Michael Sandy on the Internet and lured him to a rest stop Sunday with the promise of sexual favors. According to police, when the men attempted to rob Sandy, the fight escalated onto the Belt and Sandy was hit by a car. Police are investigating the attack as a possible bias incident but it remains unclear if the men, whose ages range from 16-20, will be charged with a bias crime.
Authorities say the car that hit Sandy fled the scene and police are still looking for the driver. Meanwhile, Sandy remains in critical condition.
