Officials in New York City are urging residents to stay warm amid freezing temperatures currently gripping the city.
Mayor Bill be Blasio issued a Code Blue warning as temperatures dipped down into the teens overnight.
Residents on Tuesday donned layer upon layer as they made their way around the borough amid temperatures in the 20s.
A warmup is expected for the rest of the week with daytime highs in the 40s.
