A new sweet spot in Prospect Lefferts Gardens is serving up tasty treats with a Brooklyn twist.

I.M. Pastry Studio started as a home-run business back in 2009, but thanks to KickStarter funding, the three Brooklyn natives were able to open up their own shop this April.

They specialize in confections that blend traditional cake flavors with innovative tastes and custom designs, and they say almost everything they have is made in Brooklyn.

The shop offers everything from strawberry shortcake cupcakes to oatmeal rum raisin cookies, to mint mojito limeade. And they're not stopping there: they hope to roll out salads and sandwiches in the future.
