Three Village School District fourth graders are participating in hands-on lessons that could lead to their future careers.
This year, they are taking courses in STEAM — science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics — to help promote creativity and curiosity.
On Wednesday, students worked to guide mini robots through hand-made obstacles as part of the lesson.
"We're making a tunnel and then in the tunnel we made little holes in it," explained fourth-grader Brody Smith. "Then we'll make the evo disc go inside of it, so then lights will come out."
As part of the course, each student will also complete a research project and present it to their class.
