Family and friends remembered Sienna Edwards at a funeral in Harlem today, one week after she was allegedly thrown off an apartment building's balcony in West Farms by another woman.
According to police, 20-year-old Edwards was dropping birthday presents off for her ex-boyfriend's child when Kenya Edmonds, the child's mother, allegedly threw Edwards off the 14th-floor balcony. Friends say Edmonds thought Edwards was dating the child's father.
Edmonds now faces second-degree murder and manslaughter charges.
At the funeral today, friends and family said they were devastated by Edwards' death and hope people will learn from it and place a greater value in life.
