Rain showers are exiting the borough, giving way to a colder and windier night. This Canadian breeze will bring feels-like temperatures close to freezing for Friday morning's commute. Winter jackets will be needed for the morning, then shaking off a layer for the afternoon. Despite the breeze, it will be sunny and around 50 degrees. The wind subsides a bit at night as temperatures remain in the 40s, well above average for this time of year.
March comes in like a lamb with an April-like day. A mix of sun and clouds and a warm breeze could bring 60s back to the borough for midday. A cold front will bring frigid weather back to the borough, with a sharp drop in temperatures beginning after 3 p.m. A 30-degree drop is expected from Saturday to Sunday, going from a high of 62 Saturday to just 32 Sunday. It will be tale of two seasons, in fact, as it will feel like the teens and 20s Sunday afternoon.
It stays cold through Monday night and warmer weather is expected to return this time next week with a potential major storm midweek next week. As of Thursday night, a windswept rain is possible most of Wednesday and possibly into Thursday morning. Temperatures could return to the 60s then, only for a brief time. Much-needed rain is expected, as parts of the city are back to a severe drought. Stay with the News 12 Storm Watch Team for updates.
