Gianna Gelosi joined News 12 in March 2016. She is a New York native with an accent to prove it (though she tones it down when a camera's in front of her).
Gianna grew up on Long Island, but spent her college years in Flatbush, attending Brooklyn College. She jokes that half of those four years were spent battling her nemesis - the Belt Parkway.
Just like Forrest Gump "kept on running" - Gianna kept on driving. After earning her stripes driving back and forth between Long Island and Brooklyn, she continued the commute between The Island and Midtown.
After graduation, Gianna was hired at PIX11 where she was a writer and fill-in traffic producer.
When the time came to be on air at News 12, she knew she'd be comfortable talking about the roadways that have put so many miles on her car.
Gianna spends most of her free time at the gym or with her two dogs. She was an athlete all her life - and was even a captain of the Brooklyn College tennis team. She also loves to travel, and has minor anxiety when she doesn't have a trip planned on her calendar.
