A Bay Ridge bakeshop is trying to set an example in the borough when it comes to green energy.
The owners of the Little Cupcake Bakeshop say they have made a concerted effort to be as environmentally friendly as possible. They say the shop?s refrigerators, windows and lights are all energy efficient.
The store runs on wind power. The owners say going green has not driven up their costs and that they wouldn?t do business any other way.
?We're clean energy. We view the other way as dirty energy. It's a no-brainer,? says owner Luigi Lobugio. ?For the store to be powered on wind, there?s no other choice.?
