Golconda Park is getting a makeover that will include more amenities and easier access, officials say.
The state has announced a $3 million plan to restore the park, which is located at Gold Street and Concord Street. It will include skate ramps and include a special entrance for the Boys and Girls Club that's just across the street.
The park's basketball park is also being refurbished, and a spray-shower and drinking fountain are being added.
The park is currently blocked off while the work gets underway, but residents in the area say they're excited for the park to reopen.
