Old-fashioned style seltzer water is triple filtered, carbonated and bottled at the factory, which is one of the only remaining bubbly plants in the country. The experts there say it is meant to make you feel alive.
"Good seltzer when you drink it, you should feel the tingle in the back of your throat, it actually should hurt. Our slogan is good seltzer should hurt," says Alex Gomberg, vice president of Brooklyn Seltzer Boys.
The factory is an extension of the family's original business, Bomberg Seltzer Works, which started in 1953.
"Seltzer is very special especially in these old-fashioned bottles. It's just the way it's supposed to be done," says Gomberg.
The fourth-generation company built its legacy on delivering the traditional Brooklyn beverage directly to homes and businesses in 10-pack crates.
While delivery is the core of the business, people can also get a peek behind the curtain at the interactive museum. The museum and storefront are open to visitors by appointment only.
