Tenants at Grace Towers in East New York are finally getting their wishes fulfilled. An affordable housing developer has agreed to give the apartment complex a major facelift.
Omni New York bought the complex and is set to begin rehabilitating the two buildings later this month. The city?s Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is funding the renovation as part of its mission to create and preserve affordable housing.
The developer says renovations will be completed within the year. Tenants will not be displaced by any construction and utilities will not be interrupted.
