A group of Gravesend residents is outraged over the loss of parking along Stryker Court.
The story was earlier reported in the Bensonhurst Bean, a local news site.
The Department of Transportation last month put up a 'No Standing' sign for the entire block.
Officials say that amounted to a loss of five spots, but residents say the loss of even a single spot is too much of a blow to an area already starved for parking spaces.
"There's no place to park here," says Joseph Ross. "At night time, to come home from work, you got to walk five blocks to find a spot."
The DOT says the change was made in response to community concerns about the street being too narrow for two sides of parking.
Residents, however, are circulating a petition to overturn the decision.
