Students at a Gravesend school proved that despite their disabilities there's no limit to looking and feeling good.
Special needs students from Roy Campanella School perfected their supermodel strut on the catwalk as part of a fashion show. Some of the kids even designed their own clothes.
"Self-esteem, working with each other, you don't know [the] classification each child may have in a disability," said Principal Barbara Tremblay. "But they're all here and know they've learned their poses. They've learned to walk with each other."
Students and parents were so thrilled with the event. One student said it felt great to dress up in front of a crowd. And parents shared the same sentiment about how great it was to see their kids having a wonderful time.
The event is aimed at helping the kids with self-esteem and vocational skills for the future.
