Green, white and red flood Sunset Park during Mexican Independence Day Parade

Revelers celebrated Mexican Independence Day on Sunday with a parade in Sunset Park.
Brooklyn streets were packed with excited people and were filled with vibrant shades of green, white, and red, the colors of the Mexican flag.
“It’s very exciting around these days. More than anything, we’re bringing a very rich tradition,” said one parade goer.
The parade marked Mexico’s 213th year of independence from Spain.
