A community outreach group is providing people with developmental disabilities a web resource for online services.
The TOUCH NYS webpage helps connect to various services for free.
"We wanted to help individuals who are receiving services self-direct their lives and become as independent as possible," says TOUCH NYS coordinator Alex DiMaio.
Adam Lieberman, who has autism, describes the website's services as "one-stop shopping."
"You're looking for a job, you go to TOUCH. You want to find providers and get services, you go to TOUCH," Lieberman says.
Since April, 200 New Yorkers with developmental disabilities and their advocates have benefited from TOUCH NYS.
