Get Women Cycling is partnering with some businesses in Sunset Park to raise awareness about deadly bicycle accidents in Brooklyn.
The local organization is holding a fundraiser at several businesses, while shining a light on accidents that happened in the neighborhood.
A total of 14 bicyclist deaths have happened in the borough, the most recent one in Sunset Park.
Business owners and members of Get Women Cycling say they want to send a message that Sunset Park is uniting to protect everyone on the road.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward Get Women Cycling's efforts to educate both bicyclists and drivers on road safety.
