This year is no exception! Below you’ll find everything you need to know about visiting the tree:
WHERE IS THE TREE FROM?
The 2023 tree is from Vestal, New York. It arrived at Rockefeller Center on Nov. 11.
MORE TREE DETAILS:
This year’s tree is a 80-foot tall Norway Spruce. It is 43 feet wide and weighs 12 tons. And it’s approximately 80 to 85 years old. The tree has more than 50,000 multi-colored LED lights on approximately 5 miles of wire. The three dimensional Swarovski star weighs approximately 900 pounds and features 70 spikes covered in 3 million crystals.
HOW LONG WILL THE TREE BE ON DISPLAY?
The tree can be viewed through Jan. 13, 2024 at 10 p.m.
WHERE IS THE TREE LOCATED?
Rockefeller Center Plaza on 49th Street between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue.
WHAT ARE THE VISITING HOURS?
The tree is lit daily from 5 a.m. to 12 a.m. On Christmas Day, the tree is lit for 24 hours, and on New Year’s Eve it is lit from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
HOW CAN I GET THERE?

HISTORY OF THE TREE:
In December 1931, workers at Rockefeller Center pooled their money together to buy a Christmas tree. The men decorated the 20-foot high balsam fir with handmade garlands made by their families. Click here for more on the history of the tree.
