New Rochelle police say they are looking for two suspects in connection with shots fired in the vicinity of Echo Avenue and Main Street on Sunday. They say officers caught a person after a foot chase. He was charged with having a loaded weapon on him, but it does not appear he was involved in the shooting. They have not been able to find any victims in connection with the incident.
A single-family home in Yonkers was destroyed by flames this weekend. The fire took over a two-story house at 423 Odell Avenue around 1 a.m. Fire officials say the blaze started in the garage. Since residents were away, they say it was not noticed until entire first floor was fully engulfed in flames. It took 74 firefighters over four hours to get the fire under control. Three firefighters went to the hospital with minor injuries.
