An air quality alert is active from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.
NEXT: Hottest day is Friday with low-90s a bit more widespread with heat into the mid-90s once again. Slight chance of a shower in the afternoon. across Brooklyn.
The weekend features a better chance of a shower or thunderstorm for both weekend days, but the rule will be hit/miss.
OVERNIGHT: Temperatures stay warm in the mid to high 70s. It will be muggy, gross, and partly cloudy.
FRIDAY: Highs in the low 90s with heat indexes feeling like the mid to high 90s. Plenty of sunshine. A few pm pop up storms are possible. Lows are in the mid to high 70s for another warm and humid night.
SATURDAY: Temperatures reach the high 80s, but could in neighborhoods still touch into the low 90s. There is the possibility for this to be the 3rd day at or above 90 so this could be our heat wave! We will have to see what the day before holds. Hazy, hot, humid and we could see some thunderstorms.
SUNDAY: In the low 90s again! Lows fall to the mid 70s. Sunday also has a storm chance.
MONDAY: Tracking a frontal system that could bring more organized storms for the beginning of the work week. Highs in the high 80s, plenty of sunshine and heat. Lows in the low 70s.
TUESDAY: Highs in the mid to high 80s, lows in the low 70s. Partly sunny.
WEDNESDAY: Highs in the low 90s, lows in the low 70s. Sun and clouds.
THURSDAY: A mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the mid 80s, lows in the high 60s. Hopefully this is the beginning of some "cooler" but still warm weather.
