A heat advisory is in effect through 9 p.m. Wednesday. Heat index 100-105 degrees. It will be day three of our heat wave this week.
An air quality alert is in effect from 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. tonight.
NOW: Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms arrive after 7 p.m. through 10 p.m. Expect a few downpours, strong to damaging winds, thunder and lots of lightning.
NEXT: The dangerous heat and humidity sticks around into Wednesday with heat indices over 100. Scattered strong to severe storms arrive Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning. A cold front will bring lower humidity and drier conditions by the end of this week into the weekend.
