WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Severe weather pushed through the borough with isolated flash flooding, frequent lightning, strong to damaging gusts and heavy rain. This threat continues into early parts of the overnight but will improve as the night goes on.
Temperatures are much improved for the weekend, in a much more comfortable low to mid-80s.
The weekend will be a half and half, with Saturday much nicer than Sunday. Saturday will be dry, with clouds and sun.
Sunday will see wet and stormy weather.
FORECAST
OVERNIGHT: Storms clear, and clouds follow. Warm and muggy. Lows in the mid-70s.
SATURDAY: Sun and clouds with dry conditions and more manageable heat. Highs in the mid-80s. Lows in the low 70s.
SUNDAY: Showers to start and storm chances during the afternoon and evening hours. Highs in the low 80s. Lows in the low 70s.
MONDAY: Sun and clouds and temperatures heat up again. Highs in the low 90s. Lows in the mid 70s.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny skies. Highs in the mid-90s. Lows in the mid 70s.
MID TO LATE WEEK: Starts hot, with Wednesday into the low 90s. Temperatures will be back in the mid-80s by Thursday. Temperatures will be the low-80s by the end of the week as rain and storm chances return.
