Sunday's bursts of rain led to flooding on some roads across New York City's boroughs.
Some roads in Soundview were completely flooded, as it was the case across both the Bronx and Brooklyn, where some roadways turned into rivers.
East Gun Hill Road in the Pelham Gardens was completely overtaken by water.
In Brooklyn, people were seen pushing a car on Wilson Avenue and Palmetto Street in Bushwick.
Cars slowly made their way through the Central Avenue intersection where the water covered at least half of the cars' tires.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than half of flood-related drownings occur when someone drives into hazardous floodwaters. Therefore, motorists were advised to avoid flooded roadways.
