A Bronx woman is fed up with her unlivable apartment conditions and blames the building's management company.
Gloria Alfinez says she's been living in her apartment at 1360 Nelson Ave. for 13 years and for the past two weeks she's been living with a friend because the conditions in her apartment are deplorable.
"Here is a rat crawling on the beam in the open space over the shower," says Alfinez.
She says mold, exposed pipes, water damage and rats are just some of the problems that she is dealing with.
Alfinez says the problems all started when she raised concern to management about the mold in the apartment.
"Three people from management came to look at it. They took pictures," says Alfinez. "They've been in and out of here. They said they are going to come back. They say they are going to do this, going to do that."
Alfinez says management came to her apartment on Aug. 14 and left giant holes in her apartment, leaving her with leaking pipes, rats and a horrible stench.
She says her main concern is her son's asthma.
"I'm not going to take it anymore," says Alfinez. "I'm out.
News 12 reached out to the management company for a statement but has not heard back.
