The Memorial Day holiday is here, but skyrocketing gas prices may lead to fewer travelers on the road.
The latest estimate by AAA puts the price for a gallon of regular gasoline in New York at $4.10, an increase of more than 80 cents from last year.
AAA estimates that about 38 million Americans are expected to hit the roads this weekend, a decrease from last year during the traditionally traffic-heavy holiday.
Experts think this year?s summer travel season could be the worst the country has seen since after Sept. 11.
