Hundreds of people were left without power after heavy rain and high winds swept through The Bronx Tuesday.

Con Edison crews worked throughout the night to repair downed electrical wires and get the lights back on. Officials say nearly 1,000 people were affected in Woodlawn and more than 200 in East Tremont.

Many residents say the stormy weather wasn't as bad as in year's past so they made the best of the situation.
