The FedEx driver and the truck that was hijacked on Thursday evening in Manhattan were found in Brooklyn Friday morning.
Police say the driver, whose name is being withheld, was forced out of his truck at gunpoint as he stopped at a light at 11th Avenue and 47th Street. He told police that he was driven around in a car for about five hours. The suspects let him go around 1:30 on Friday morning. The truck was later found at about 5:30 a.m.
At the time of the hijacking, there were Christmas presents and other items in the truck. Police say none of the items are missing.
The 18-wheeler truck was headed to a company facility at Newark Liberty International Airport.
The truck is being held by the police for further investigation, says Sandra Munoz company spokesperson in Memphis, Tennessee.
The carjackers have not been found.
