The celebrations for hip-hop’s 50th birthday have been everywhere this week and this year, but Yankee Stadium played host to the biggest bash of them all Friday.
The Hip Hop 50 Live concert drew massive lines to the stadium with a stacked list of performers, including Run DMC, Snoop Dogg, Lupe Fiasco, Common and Slick Rick, among many others.

The party continued into the night. An afterparty, hosted by DJ Kindu, honored local legend Kid Capri and others.
The celebrations continue into the weekend, with the mayor's block party on Sedgwick Avenue Saturday.
