Thanksgiving crunch mode is officially here, and Landi’s Pork Store is right at the center of the holiday chaos. Phones are ringing nonstop, orders are stacking up and shoppers are pouring in for those last second ingredients they forgot or suddenly realized they needed. Owner John Lindner says it hasn’t slowed down for a minute, with every call bringing in another family trying to pull their meal together.
Inside, the aisles are wall to wall with people. Families are walking in with handwritten lists, checking items off as they move through the store, and keeping up traditions they’ve had for years. Some shoppers are pushing full carts, while others are just hoping to snag a sandwich, even if it means squeezing their way through the crowd to get it. The whole place feels loud, fast and festive.
Employees are slicing, wrapping and racingback and forth to keep up with the demand as customers chat about their plans for Thursday's dinner. Even with the hustle, many say it’s all part of what makes the holiday feel real.
If you’re heading out for your own final touches, there’s still a little time, but be ready for some lines and a whole lot of pre-Thanksgiving energy.
