A humpback whale was spotted near the shoreline in Brooklyn waters.

Chris Saint Lawrence, of the Gotham Whale research and conservation organization, took a photo of the gentle giant.

Experts with the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society say the whale appeared to be feeding on small fish.

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection says more whales are coming to New York's harbor because it's the cleanest it's been in 150 years.
