Hundreds gathered with family and flags for the 152nd Memorial Day Parade in Bay Ridge.
Hundreds of onlookers packed Third Avenue, between 78th Street and Marine Avenue, to remember those who lost their lives defending the United States.
Former state Sen. Martin Golden kicked off the parade, followed by dozens of school groups, marching bands, and floats full of veterans.
Organizers say they are proud of the long legacy of the parade and already excited to start planning next year's event.
