? The Brooklyn district attorney announced indictments Thursday for more than 100 people busted for allegedly trying to take over the streets of Red Hook in an elaborate drug ring.
Authorities arrested 143 people earlier this month in undercover ?Operation Off The Hook.? The suspects range in age from 16 to 69 and face misdemeanor and felony charges, which include weapons possession, conspiracy to deal drugs and others.
Many Red Hook residents say they are relieved the drug dealers are off the streets and they feel it?s safe to let their children play outside again. However, others believe innocent people were swept up in the sting.
