Hundreds of Hudson Valley building workers are getting ready to rally in Scarsdale Tuesday afternoon and a strike could be on the way.
Unions will be voting on a strike that will involve 1,400 Hudson Valley door people, porters, handy people and superintendents.
A rally will be held at Garth Road & Essex Place in Scarsdale in front of the Eastchester Little League field at 5 p.m.
Labor contracts expire on Sept. 30. The group is demanding a better deal.
Some demands include increased wages, more fulltime jobs, retirement security and health benefits.
The union says its workers were on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A strike would directly impact 100,000 local residents and 500 residential buildings.
