Police are searching for a man who abducted a 14-year-old girl from Manhattan and took her to a motel in the Bronx Tuesday night.
Investigators say the man kidnapped the teen from Washington Heights, forced her into a livery cab and brought her to the Riverroad Motor Inn in the Bronx. The man then left the teenager outside the lobby while he attempted to rent a room.
According to a hotel employee, the girl ran up to the second floor and asked a maid to call the police while the abductor was at the front desk. The teen escaped unharmed, but the kidnapper took off from the lobby and escaped.
The suspect is described as a man in his 30s with a slight mustache and a goatee. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
