The husband of a teacher killed over the summer has been charged in her murder.
Jonathan Crupi is being charged with murder in the death of Simonette Mapes. Crupi is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
Mapes, a School for Classics teacher, was found dead in her Staten Island home with multiple stab wounds.
Crupi, who was also a teacher at the school, was taken into custody this morning at his mother's home in Brooklyn.
The Department of Education says Crupi has been on leave since school began this year.
