The family of a 14-year-old missing Bronx boy says he has been missing since Friday and hopes he will be recognized and returned home safely.
Mansura Choi’s family says they have been crying since the moment they found out and can’t sleep at night.
Monay Chandler, Choi’s sister, says she took in her brother when he was only 1 week old.
"I was able to get custody of him and so I've had him ever since. He lived with me from one-week-old up until he was about 12 when my mother came home from prison,” said Chandler.
Chandler lives in Connecticut and Choi moved back to the Bronx to live with his mom.
According to the family, he went to his aunt’s house on Decatur Avenue Friday afternoon to see her.
"She felt some type of way that he had took so long to get there and she wanted to know what took him so long and she was upset,” said Chandler.
The family says that is when she told him to leave.
"She was under the impression that he was going to go back home and he never made it back home,” said Chandler.
The young boy also goes by the name Messiah. He is described ad 6’1” tall, about 160 pounds and they say he has ADHD, anxiety and depression.
"We're brothers, we haven't been perfect, but I love him and I want him to know that I love him and I want him to come back. I don't want anything bad to happen him,” said Chandler’s brother, Cartiae Reid.
