The Department of Homeland Security says that a special agent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement opened fire on a suspect's car Tuesday in East New York.
It happened in front of the ShopRite at the Gateway Center.
Authorities say the agent opened fire when the suspect drove straight toward him.
A News 12 viewer sent photos from the scene that showed the area blocked off and investigators looking under the hood of at least one car.
No injuries were reported.
