For the first time, an IDNYC pop-up enrollment center is visiting a school to help students obtain city identification cards.
Fort Hamilton High School in Bay Ridge is the site of the first such event, and city officials say more are coming.
New benefits for cardholders this year include discounts at Modell's Sporting Goods stores and events at Barclays Center. The card already included free access to museums, aquariums and recreational centers around the city.
The Fort Hamilton H.S. pop-up runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Oct. 7.
