A fatal Belmont apartment fire that killed two people in 2018 is now being investigated as a homicide.
Firefighters were called to 23-81 Hoffman St. three years ago for a fire that tore through a five-story apartment building.
A 47-year-old Bronx man was arrested Friday in connection to the incident.
The suspect, Edward Garcia, is facing three counts of murder and an arson charge.
The fire killed Jordan Conde, 14, and Roberto Archeval Cortez, 41.
Eight others, including firefighters, were hurt in the fire.
About 20 people were displaced.
