Inwood man arrested in foiled NYC bomb plot

Authorities arrested an Inwood man who planned an attack in Manhattan using explosives he ordered on the internet, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

The U.S. attorney's office says Michael Gann, of Inwood, is facing a number of federal charges for making at least seven explosive devices and planning to use them.
Authorities arrested the Inwood man who planned an attack in Manhattan using explosives he ordered on the internet, according to the U.S. attorney's office.
Gann is facing a number of federal charges for making at least seven explosive devices and planning to use them, authorities say.
Back in January, Gann allegedly stored at least five of the makeshift bombs and shotgun shells on adjoining rooftops in Soho and threw at least one of the onto the subway tracks of the Williamsburg Bridge.
Gann's top charge is attempted destruction of property by means of explosives. It carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.
