Soundview Park residents came together to celebrate the Fourth of July Sunday.

Many people News 12 spoke with said they had been at the park since 7 a.m. to secure a good spot for their families to view the Independence Day fireworks.

They fired up grills for family barbecues and were out playing badminton, volleyball, dancing to celebrate the July 4 festivities.

Many revelers said they were glad to be able to finally come out and celebrate with their families after being in lockdown for a year.
