Residents from all over the city made their way to the Brooklyn Saturday to participate in this year's Kiddies Carnival Parade.
The hundreds of marchers walked, danced, and sang their way through the heart of Crown Heights, ending their trek at the Brooklyn Museum.
The parade is part of the West Indian Day Parade. Organizers say the celebration serves to teach children all about the heritage in a fun and meaningful way.
The major party of the West Indian Day Parade will be held Monday.
