Kids in Brooklyn were cooling off from the heat Wednesday as temperatures soared into the upper 90s.
The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory through 9 p.m. and an air quality alert until 11 p.m.
Children and dogs headed to Bensonhurst Park to take advantage of the water sprinklers.
News 12 meteorologists say Wednesday's forecast will see highs in the upper 90s with heat and humidity lasting throughout the day and evening.
Thursday there is a chance for thunderstorms, but the heat will continue to stick around into the weekend.
